Responsible AI Policy

Overview

Battle Planner is committed to building AI-assisted tools that are useful, transparent, secure, and human-centered. This Responsible AI Policy describes how Battle Planner approaches AI development, AI-assisted features, user control, and operational safeguards.

AI Features

Battle Planner may use artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to support features such as:

• Natural language task parsing (e.g., "fix bug by Friday")
• Smart due-date suggestions and scheduling assistance
• Search and organizational features
• Future workflow automation capabilities

AI Providers

Battle Planner may utilize one or more AI providers and models, including providers such as Anthropic and OpenAI, as well as potential self-hosted models. Providers are selected based on performance, reliability, functionality, and operational needs.

User Control

Users maintain control over their use of AI features within Battle Planner. Depending on plan capabilities and platform configuration, users may disable AI functionality or opt out of specific AI-assisted features.

Data Usage & AI Training

Battle Planner is committed to protecting workspace data and maintaining transparency regarding AI processing. Where supported by providers and platform configuration, Battle Planner seeks to utilize AI services with training disabled for workspace content submitted through API-based processing.

Battle Planner does not intentionally use workspace task data to train public AI models without authorization. AI providers may process content temporarily for service delivery, safety, and reliability purposes in accordance with their own policies.

Human Oversight

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for certain situations. Users remain responsible for reviewing and validating any AI-assisted content before relying on it. Battle Planner AI features are intended to assist human decision-making, not replace it.

Safety & Restrictions

Battle Planner prohibits the use of AI features for unlawful, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or dangerous activities. AI features may not be used for medical diagnosis, emergency response, high-risk critical infrastructure, or harmful or exploitative content generation.

Security & Reliability

Battle Planner implements operational and security safeguards intended to help protect AI-related workflows and workspace data. Measures include encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring and logging, and abuse detection systems.

Continuous Improvement

AI technologies continue to evolve rapidly. Battle Planner may update this policy and related safeguards over time as technologies, regulations, user expectations, and operational practices develop.
